Leading the development of Dagenham and Bridgend’s latest Turbo Diesel Common-rail injection (TDCi) and EcoBoost petrol engines are Ford Dunton’s 3,000 engineers, who have benefitted from a five-year £1.5 billion Ford investment in low carbon, environmentally friendly powertrain technology. Dunton’s three-cylinder, 1.0-litre EcoBoost, available across the Ford car and van range and now capable of 140PS, is International Engine of the Year for an unprecedented third consecutive year.
